Aranmanai 3 Movie Review: A Meaningless Horror Comedy of Revenge and Supernatural Activities

Aranmanai 3 directed by Sundar C after Aranmanai 1 and Aranmanai 2 is somehow acceptable but has nothing new to be remembered. Sundar C not just directed and wrote the movie but even acted on it playing the role of the son-in-law of a landlord or Zamindar.

In the film the story goes as the spirit of a mother who once was a victim tries every possible ways to take revenge on the landlord and his daughter named Jyoti whose role is played by Rashmi Khanna. The Actor Sampath appeared in the film as a character Rajashekhar who played the role Zamindar throughout the film.

The movie is funny and entertaining only for kids with full of artificial scenes and supernatural activities showing paranormal behavior of the characters involved. The complete story has nothing more than meaningless comedy and fails to attract attention of other audiences apart from kids, sometimes provides for the adults a brief diversion. Director Sundar often draws knowledge from a movie Chandramukhi by Superstar Rajnikanth which was another transformation of one of the hit movie of Malayalam Manichitrthazhu.

The film has very common settings as a kid appears to be the one to witness the ghost for the first time, the leads are as usual carried by beautiful female characters, male characters leading looks very much boyish and practical. Sundar C acted as a masculine figure who comes out to be the ultimate saviour. The ghost character with whom the Zamindar once did wrong and injustice is Eswari whose character is acted by Andrea Jeremiah. She is the movie is seen as powerful character returns back as a ghost with vengeance.

Director Sundar C playing the role of the son-in-law of the Zamindar makes his efforts to find out the cause of the spirit targeting and creating fear among the members of that single-family. The ghost successfully owned control over the person came at that house for repair work named Saravanan whose role is played by Arya. The film shows very boring and tasteless visual effects and songs full of fun it is similar to the Kanchana series and for its meaningless concept the film is even regarded as dumbest film of the year.
