'Are You Stupid?' Varun Dhawan Reacts To Alia Bhatt's Pay Hike

Pay disparity is one of the most discussed topics for all the Bollywood Actresses. In spite of the fact that they work equally as hard as their co-stars but the actresses end up taking home less money as compared to the actors. However, a few deserve thanks for the very fact that to actresses like they are fighting for equality and winning too! The actress like Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Vidya Balan are among them.

Actor Varun Dhawan recently commented on pay disparity and at the actor called Alia Bhatt ' stupid'. The reason of this comment is that Alia Bhatt is not for hiking her fee. While in a tete-a-tete with Anupama Chopra, Varun said so.

Well but Varun Has Got a Point! Speaking about Alia Bhatt's achievements so far Varun Dhawan was quoted as saying, "Why has it taken the trade and the industry as a whole until a Raazi to realise that Alia Bhatt is a big star?”

The actor also further added that be it Badrinath Di Kulhania, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania or her movie 2 States were super hits and Alia Bhatt was too responsible for its success like him or as Arjun was.

Moreover, The the crime thriller Badlapur actor also insisted Alia Hike her Fee. Varun has worked with Alia Bhatt in three films which include Student Of The Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Varun said that he has always asked to tell Alia like, “ what are you doing? You are taking very little money. Are you stupid? Increase your price."

On the work front, Varun Dhawan will be next seen in the much-awaited film Sui Dhaaga along with Anushka Sharma. The film address India's entrepreneurs and accomplished workforce. This comedy-drama film is directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma. The film will feature homegrown artisans, craftspeople and weavers. Varun plays a tailor named Mauji, Anushka essays the role of his wife who is also an embroiderer (Mamta) and Raghubir Yadav as Mauji's father. The film is scheduled for release on 28 September 2018.
