

MUMBAI: Well-known actor, model, and photographer Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead in the bathroom of his 11th-floor high-rise Andheri home on Monday, May 22.
Aditya’s prone body was discovered by his friend in his apartment’s bathroom. The friend, along with the the building's security guard, rushed him to hospital. However, doctors at the hospital said he was declared brought dead.
According to reports, it was suggested that Aditya might have died from a drug overdose.
The Mumbai police has sent his body for post-mortem, while an investigation has been launched, said the report.
Aditya Singh Rajput was a well-known actor, model, and casting coordinator in Mumbai.
Instagram stories from the actor suggest that he was at his home last night and several of his friends were also present.
Starting off as a model and actor, Aditya Singh Rajput is said to have launched many fresh faces in the glamour industry. Having good connections within the industry, he had worked for many brands and with different actors. His untimely death has come as a shock to the industry.
Aditya originally hailed from Delhi and he started off his career as a model. He got good work in films such as Krantiveer and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. He was also featured in around 300 advertisements and participated in reality shows like Splitsvilla 9 and did TV projects like Love, Ashiqui, Code Red, Aawaz Season 9, Bad Boy Season 4, and others.
In recent times, he was involved with a production house and was more into casting. He was known to be popular in the Mumbai glamour circuit and a regular at parties and page 3 events.
The latest fatality in Bollywood comes at a time when it’s yet to come to terms with the death of another promising actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who shares his middle and last name with Aditya.
Sushant was found dead at his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. The actor had reportedly died by suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house. His death not only stirred social media but also got other agencies like CBI, NC, ED and others involved.
In a recent interview, when Manoj Bajpayee was asked about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, he blamed it on industry politics and said that he couldn’t manage the pressure. Manoj Bajpayee said, “We really became close and he had so much love for me. I would often cook mutton on set and he would always come by to eat. We never knew he would take such a drastic step but he had opened up about his challenges to me,”
Bajpayee blamed “Industry politics” for Sushant’s death, saying that it gets dirtier as you climb the ladder of success. “I never had an issue as I was stubborn and thick-skinned. He wasn’t and thus could not manage the pressure”.
He said that Sushant had spoken to him of being worried about these things as it affected him.
