Brahmāstra Motion Poster: Ranbir Kapoor Appears as Shiva With Intense Look

The upcoming Indian Superhero film Brahmāstra directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar is scheduled to be released on 22 September 2022. The makers have now come up with the fresh and first poster of the film Brahmastra on Wednesday 15 December.

The motion poster of Brahmāstra shared by makers shows Ranbir Kapoor appearing in Shiva's avatar looking daunting and aggressive.

The motion poster launched on Wednesday showing the first look of Ranbir is already gaining much attention and raising speculations about the narrative of the film Brahmāstra.

Apart from Karan Johar, the producers of the film include Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Johar and Namit Malhotra. Brahmāstra is the costliest superhero movie in Bollywood made with a budget of over Rupees 300 crores and 150 crores in 2019. It is less of a superhero film and more of a fantasy adventure epic film and a modern mythology piece said, director Ayan Mukerji.

The film cast big stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, popular television actress Mouni Roy, famous south actor Nagarjuna Akkineni and Ranbir Kapoor. It will be the first film in the planned trilogy as the film will be converted into a franchise with three parts of which one part is releasing in September next year.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor as the main lead will be seen in the role of Shiva who is born normal but is blessed with supernatural powers. He appears as the hero that the Universe needs for its protection when it is on the way to get destroyed by one of the Brahmansh.

Brahmāstra is set in contemporary India where a secret society called Brahmansh have guarded Astras formed thousands of years ago in Ancient India. In the film, Shiva is connected with the modern representation of God (Deva) rather than a western superhero.

Bollywood Star Amitabh Bachchan is expected to appear in the film as a professor named Arvind Chaturvedi and Alia Bhatt will be in the female lead as Isha Mishra has a love angle with Ranbir. Mouni Roy will be appearing as the antagonist in the film and Nagarjuna Akkineni will be playing the character of an archaeologist named Ajay Vashisht.
