Deepika Padukone Turns 36: Cancels Her Birthday Celebration Planned With Gehraiyaan Trailer Launch

Indian popular actress Deepika Padukone celebrates her 36th birthday today on Wednesday 5 January 2022. Deepika's grand birthday celebration planned along with the trailer launch of her upcoming film Gehraiyaan has been cancelled now due to the rise in covid cases.

According to various sources, the actress was expected to celebrate the special day of her 36th birthday with the launch of the 'Gehraiyaan' trailer, her upcoming movie. The birthday was supposed to be celebrated on a grand scale in Alibaug of Mumbai.

But the actress had to cancel all her birthday plans in Alibaug in view of the rising threat of COVID-19 in the state as there is a spike in covid positive cases during the last two weeks.

As the birthday celebration planned with the 'Gehraiyaan' trailer launch date is now cancelled, Deepika will celebrate her birthday in the Maldives with her actor husband Ranveer Singh.

Most of the crew members of the film Gehraiyaan have been tested COVID positive and therefore keeping this in mind, the organizers have called off the launch of the film's trailer.

Gehraiyaan cast includes Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in important roles, Rajat Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah in fundamental roles. The film is directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Dharma Productions.

On her birthday, the actress revealed the new release date of Gehraiyaan and treats fans with a new poster starring Siddhant and Deepika. The release date is now postponed to 11 February 2022 as announced by Amazon Prime Video and Deepika on her birthday.

Fans, co-celebrities and famous personalities from the film fraternity poured birthday wishes for Deepika Padukone on her 36th birthday making the day special for her.

Deepika was born on 5 January 1986 in Copenhagen of Denmark. She is a predominant face in the world of Hindi cinemas and is one of the highest-paid actresses in the country. The actress was last seen in the latest film '83' co-produced by her where she appeared as the wife of on-screen Kapil dev.
