One of such incidents were witnessed by his fans when, he collaborated with the most acclaimed Hollywood stars.

Who can forgot, his one of the best songs 'Jimmy Jimmy' from the Disco Dancer. This song successfully made it to the international level as the song became most popular in Russia at one time.

Apart from his contribution to songs, Bappi Lahiri was also known as Bappi Da. It was because of his charming and appealing appearance.

The masses who have seen him real life or on screen could easily remember his gold jewellery and Sunglasses. Heavy gold jewellery was his permanent outfit and he often wore it in hands and neck. Fans across the world, often identified with his look that consist of gold.

According to reports, the singer had gold worth Rupees 30 lakh and silver worth Rupees 2 lakh as per the gold price in 2014.

Fans are often curious to know about his obsession with jewellery, therefore, once on being asked about the matter, the singer revealed the reason.

Once in an interview, the music maestro unveiled that his obsession with gold comes from legendary American singer Elvis Presley. As he saw and loved watching the singer wearing gold chains during his initial period of life.

After watching Elvis at that look Bappi Da got fully inspired and always wished to be like him, once he earned a lot of name and fame.

Another reason for him to wear gold was that he was a true believer in the idea that gold brings fortune.

Bappi Da was also identified as a person who is never seen without a sunglass. The reason for Bappi Da to wear sunglasses all the time is that he loved sunglasses and wears costly sunglasses for his desire.

In an interview, he revealed that his sunglasses are a Louis Vuitton brand which is priced at Rupees 1.50 lakh.

According to certain rumours Bappi Da used to wear sunglasses because he had an eye infection or other issue with his eyes but there is no official confirmation regarding this.
