Mumbai: Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, KGF’s Yash Joins Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

MUMBAI: Bollywood is gearing up for another Ramayana adaption, this time with Ranbir as Ram. That is when it was revealed that none other than Alia has been cast in the role of Sita in the film! Deepika Padukone had previously been mentioned as a possible female lead.

There's good news for those wondering if Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan has been shelved! The project is on schedule, and the leads are reportedly being finalized. While Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram in the film, Alia Bhatt is said to have been cast as Sita. Ravana's casting has yet to be determined. However, Yash's name has been mentioned multiple times during the conversations. The film will hit theatres in December.

According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi would play Ram and Sita in the film. However, Alia Bhatt was seen meeting Nitesh Tiwari on the day it was claimed that the project had been halted.

Soon after a photo of Alia Bhatt visiting Nitesh Tiwari at his office went viral, it was reported that the actress has signed on for the project. She is said to have taken over for Sai Pallavi in the role of Sita in the film. Ram is supposed to be played by Ranbir Kapoor in the film. Following their roles as Shiva and Isha in 'Brahmastra,' the real-life pair is poised to play Ram and Sita in the magnum opus.

As per sources, Ranbir Kapoor has been seen visiting the DNEG office in recent weeks to check on the status of Ramayana. The world has already been pre-visualized, and the team is presently doing look tests with Ranbir to play Lord Ram.

The aim of the visit was to get Ranbir the correct look because once he had it, he will move on to the physical transformation component.

According to another source, KGF star Yash is in talks to play Raavan in Ramayan with Nitesh Tiwari, who directed Aamir Khan's all-time hit Dangal. Tiwari has been working on an adaptation of the great Indian epic Ramayan, and the Bollywood public has been waiting for the casting announcement since it was announced.
