MUMBAI: Vivek Oberoi's journey in Bollywood has been really difficult. The actor was forced to stay at home for years despite achieving enormous acclaim with movies like Sathiya, Masti, Kaal, and Shootout At Lokhandwala. He was unemployed and alleged "powerful people" in the business were attempting to ruin his career.

According to the sources, Vivek once dated Aishwarya Rai, his co-star in Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... and He later claimed that Salman Khan, her ex-boyfriend and a superstar, had threatened him.

Although the claims generated a lot of buzzes, their relationship continued despite this. Although the former couple broke up in 2005, it is rumoured that the animosity between Vivek Oberoi and Bollywood's 'Bhaijaan' Salman Khan persisted for years.

Returning to the subject, Vivek Oberoi discusses his challenges and how he spent years sitting at home while producing successful films and performing well at the box office in a rare interview.

He said, "They're incredibly fond of me, proud of me because they've seen me go through such a phase where there was an entire lobby, a whole powerful set of individuals who were trying to push me down." when he was talking about his family to Indian Express. I gave a shootout at Lokhandwala at that time when I received a lot of positive feedback and earned prizes.

People were exclaiming, "Oh my God, this is incredible," said Vivek Oberoi.

"It defies all sense that I spent the next 1.5 years sitting at home without anyone bringing me any films. As an actor, I was successful, the box office was successful, I won accolades, and the critics praised me, but I had no work," said the actor.

Despite the difficulties, Inside Edge significantly helped Vivek's career. He was last seen in Dharavi Bank and is currently working on the online series Rohit Shetty's Indian Police Officer.
