India means diversity with oneness and this very young and beautiful singer from Assam has proved it right! Jharna is an Assamese born young girl who has been singing Punjabi songs since the year 2017. Her first song came out with Bollywood Singer and Rapper “Ikka” and music of the song was given by talented Bollywood music producer and singer Rajat Nagpal. Her very first song had been released from the world’s number one Youtube Channel “Tseries”.

What is more shocking about Jharna is that she is not just a versatile singer but also a very intelligent student who has passed out from Hindu college and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) from Delhi. While pursuing her studies she did not leave behind her passion for singing and kept both studies and her passion go on smoothly. Her songs have come out from both Tseries and Speedrecords music labels and also she holds her own Music label on Youtube named “Jharna Music” which has some very beautiful songs in it.

Her family is pure Assamese and no one at her home or her surrounding has ever spoke Punjabi to her which makes it really amazing to see a girl from such background breaking down stereotypes who believed that people from Northeast can’t even speak Hindi! She has done both Punjabi and Hindi songs and also has recreated some Bollywood songs as a mashup which is very soon getting released from T-series. Many of her audience loves the way she sings and performs and her styling as well as her beauty has been admired by many on her instagram handle “Jharna_official”.

Many in Assam among her known have also raised a question about why she does not sing Assamese but other languages and on this she has replied that she is in love with Punjabi songs and the language and that being a singer she has the right to choose the song she wants to sing and that she got things lined up and will not like to disclose everything up so that the surprise does not get spoiled, stated a press release.
