"Comedy Is A Medicine", Says Sunil Grover As Fan Says He Helped Her Fight Depression

Comedian-actor Sunil Grover has said he was drawn nearer by a fan in Dubai and the fan credited him for getting her out of depression. Sunil Grover, who turned into a commonly recognized name with his depiction of Gutthi's character on The Kapil Sharma Show, was as of late found in Bharat close by Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

According to the media, a woman in Dubai said thanks to Sunil for getting her out of depression. "As an entertainer, one doesn't understand the impact one has on the lives of others since we're for the most part working in a closed environment like a studio. But it’s beautiful when you see the smiles you bring to the essences of individuals," it cited him as saying.

Sunil asserted it wasn't the first time this happened to him. "A couple of days back, I was holding on to catch a flight in an airport lounge when a lady came up to me and confided that she used to have 100 mg of depression pills, the dosage has now gone down to 10 mg because of my TV shows and live acts. After some time I have understood that diversion de-stresses individuals. For me, comedy’s a medicine and the person who makes you laugh, a drug store," he added.

Talking about his initial days in acting, Sunil further said that he decided to become an actor at a very early age and he also remembers participating in a competition when he is in the eighth grade. He had to limit his performance to seven minutes but didn’t keep track of time. He didn’t even hear the warning bell because he was only focusing on the people sitting in front of him who was laughing uproariously. He was disqualified as he was on stage for 12 minutes, but he considers that his biggest victory as he could hold the audience for such a long time,” he recalls, adding that that’s when he realized the power of humour. "Regardless I recall that character's name, Mariyaal Singh Pisaddiram."
