Finally Sara Ali Khan Makes Her Instagram Debut, Karan Johar Welcomes Her

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan finally made her debut on Instagram on Wednesday. Sara’s first post is a visual rendition of the national anthem and as a mark of respect for India. In spite of the fact that she had her birthday on August 12, she started her journey on Independence Day. The beautiful Sara Ali Khan posted a pop art image of Rabindranath Tagore along with the image of the national anthem and wrote “Happy Independence Day. #merabharatmahan #proudtobeindian.”

Within a few hours, Sara’s Instagram account got the official blue tick and more than with 1.54 lakh followers including Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and Manish Malhotra.

Film director and producer Karan Johar, who is producing her forthcoming film Simmba, welcomed Sara on Instagram with a picture from last night's party at designer Manish Malhotra's party. "Welcome the gorgeous and stunning, Sara Ali Khan on Instagram," he wrote.

“She is happy to be a part of this. In fact, Sara wants to be part of an action film. I am happy to know that she wants to do all kind of cinema and doesn’t want to get stuck to a film or genre. She wants to do solo heroine film, ensemble film, hardcore commercial film, love story, comedy, women-oriented subject… She wants to experience everything. She comes from that schooling and I like that in her,” Simmba director Rohit Shetty had said about Sara's film debut.

There was huge anticipation about Sara joining the photo-sharing app on her birthday. #WeWantSaraOnSocialMedia on Twitter trended a great deal for a few days.

Sara debuts in Bollywood this November opposite Sushant Singh Rajput with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath while Simmba, her film with Ranveer Singh, releases in December. Simmba is directed by Rohit Shetty.
