Hum Do Hamare Do is an Indian film directed by Abhishek Jain released on Friday 29 October on the OTT platform by Disney Hotstar.

The movie stars Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The newly released Hum Do Hamare Do is a movie directed by Abhishek Jain that shows a very decent family drama. It was released on Friday 29 October on the OTT platform by Disney Hotstar. The IMDb rating of Hum Do Hamare Do is 6.9/10, it brings the concept of the family this Diwali.

The story of the Hum Do Hamare Do shows Rajkummar Rao as an orphan named Dhruv Shikhar who is in search of a family to marry the girl he loved named Anya Mehra the role played by Kriti Sanon. The orphan Dhruv Shikhar has become a great entrepreneur after a lot of struggle in his life and his search for the family came to an end when he encounters Dipti Kashyap played by Ratna Pathak Shah and Paresh Rawal who appears as Purshottam Mishra but both had a history of their own.

Anya Mehra is seen as a blogger who meets Dhruv at the launch meeting of a reality app and after the meeting, both of them fall in love with each other. But Anya had the desire to marry a person who has a sweet family and cute doggy which led Dhruv in the quest to find the right family.

Anya had such a dream because of the reason that she lost her family at the age of 7 in a fire accident. She was later adopted by her uncle and aunt, Dr. Sanjeev Mehra, and Rupa Mehra played by Prachi Shah Pandya whom she called mom and dad.

Dhruv's friend Sandeep Sachdeva as Shunty played the role by Aparshakti Khurana suggested him about Purshottam Mishra. Dhruv worked at the Dhaba of Purshottam Mishra when he was a child and as Dhruv and his friend got to know about Dipti as the college love of Purshottam they decided to make her Dhruv's mother. The film shows whether the love bond between Dhruv and Anya last on the basis of the falsehood in forming a family and this becomes the core of the story.

In the beginning, the film led the audience wonders how much time it will take to reveal the truth about fake and own made family. But in the second half of the movie, everything gets a little monotonous and fails to keep up with the narrative as the director took very little time to wrap up the story with a happy ending. Rajkummar and Kriti both being very effective did justice to their character through their on-screen chemistry. The film shows both emotional and funny elements in both the couple but becomes less engaging by the second half due to lack of humor.
