"I Go To Sleep When He Wakes Up", Says Shah Rukh Khan On Why He Can't Work With Akshay Kumar

Bollywood buffs are continually on the lookout for casting coups. If it's not the three Khans - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan who are working together, they would surely want to see Akshay Kumar working with one among them. The same question was posed to Shah Rukh Khan throughout a recent interview by the media and his answer was both sensible and hilarious.

Shah Rukh was asked if he will do three or four films a year like Akshay Kumar or whether or not he can collaborate with the actor, SRK said, “What do I say about this? I don’t wake up as early as him.” whereas Akshay is known for waking up early and managing his schedules with exactitude, Shah Rukh prefers to work late at night.

Hinting this, Shah Rukh Khan aforementioned, “I go to sleep when Akshay is waking up. His day starts early. By the time I start working, he's packing up and going home. So he can put in additional hours of work. I’m a nocturnal person. Not many of us are fond of shooting at the night like me.”

Shah Rukh Khan said if they do indeed work together, they will never meet on the sets. “It will be fun to act with Akshay. Dono set pe hi nahin milenge. Woh jaa raha hoga aur main aa raha hounga (laughs). He’ll be leaving the set and I’ll be coming in. I would like to work like Akshay and with him, but our timings won’t match.”

Shah Rukh Khan is yet to substantiate his new project after the box workplace dud, Zero, whereas Akshay – faithful to his reputation has multiple films lined up for unleash this year. He can open his box workplace kitty with Battle of Saragarhi war drama, Kesari, followed by comedy caper, Housefull 4. He will also be seen in Mission Mangal based on India’s Mars mission and Karan Johar’s Good news and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi.

Akshay Kumar joins Rohit Shetty’s cop universe with Sooryavanshi which he will begin shooting in 2019. The end credits introduction of the character in Simmba a la MCU style had Akshay talking to Bajirao Singham aka Ajay Devgn who helps Simmba in the film. That sparked a great deal of talk about the movie. Some days back there were reports that like Ranveer Singh‘s cop movie which may be a remake of junior NTR’s Temper, Sooryavanshi is going to be a remake of a Tamil film referred to as Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. However, Simmba director Rohit Shetty has squashed all the rumours by saying that Akshay Kumar’s cop drama is going to be completely original.
