Jersey 2021 Trailer Out: Starring Shahid Kapoor as a Failed Cricketer

The trailer of the much-awaited sports drama film Jersey 2021 has been released on Tuesday 23 November which is already gaining much attention.

The film Jersey directed and written by Gowtam Tinnanuri is scheduled to release on the big screen on 31 December 2021.

Jersey is the official remake of one of the hits and award-winning Telugu movies in 2019 with the same title starring south star Nani and Shraddha Srinath. Earlier on Monday 22 November, the makers of the film shared a poster of the upcoming film.

In the film Jersey 2021 actor, Shahid Kapoor will be acting in the role of the original Nani in Telugu Jersey 2019. Actress Mrunal Thakur will be seen playing the female lead role in the upcoming movie.

The story of the film revolves around the life of a protagonist i.e. Shahid in the film who is a cricketer with good cricket skills but failed in the field and decides to get back to cricket in his mid-30s. He made such a decision of returning to cricket at this age to fulfil the wish of his son of getting the jersey as a gift.

While sharing the poster of the film Shahid Kapoor wrote being thankful to the makers for such a character and the inspiring story he said that the project of this film is special to him as the character and the story are special. The poster unveiled displayed Shahid Kapoor giving an intense look standing in a stadium in cricket gear and holding his bat up in the air.

The film Jersey is produced by Dil Raju, Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Pawan Gill under production companies Geetha Arts, Sri Venkateswara Creations and S. Radha Krishna.
