"Mulk" is a courtroom drama around restoring the honor of a Muslim family accused of treason. This is a tale of an ordinary Muslim family, living in harmony with mostly Hindu surroundings in Benaras. starring Rishi Kapoor as Advocate Murad Ali wishes his friends and neighbours a friendly 'Salaam Walaikum' only to receive a laid back Ram-Ram in return, as there is no bar on caste and creed in the city. On the contrary, Murad's nephew (Prateek Babbar) had been seduced by the machinations of terrorism which the then throws a fear of oppressive Judgement. He participates in a terror plot that had killed 16 people and the situation just gone worst followed by police encounters and manhunt, which soon culminates in a courtroom battle.
