Oh Manapenne is a trending Tamil romantic movie with comedy scenes directed by Kaarthikk Sundar. The movie has been released on Friday 22 October 2021 and the IMDb rating is 7.7/10. Oh Manapenne is quite a decent remake of the 2016 movie Pelli Choopolu by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. Though it is a remake the film brought lots of originality and more charming elements that are appealing for viewers. The movie Oh Manapenne is available to download from moviesda.

REVIEW: The story of the movie Oh Manapenne starts with the matching of a pair of Karthik and Shruti. Harish Kalyan played the role of Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar played as Shruti. Karthik with his friends and families went to meet Shruti and her family for their matchmaking. Both of them accidentally get trapped inside a room because of an unfixed door where they shared their stories of life with each other. Shruti is a gold medalist in MBA and has big dreams in her life with the least interest in getting married as she has been planning for studying abroad in Australia. Karthik is a graduate in engineering who doesn't like his profession and wanted to live a life without responsibility. Both Karthik and Shruti started to feel some spark between them but soon it gets turned out when Karthik and his family realize it was a wrong address.

But destiny brings Karthik and Shruti together again when they met as e-business partners. Shruti started a food truck business where Karthik was offered for being a chef. The film then shows situations and circumstances that lead them to realize that both of them were perfect for life partners as well.

Director Kaarthikk Sundar manages to accurately follow the script of the film Pelli Choopolu by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam but in some emotional scenes, he made the audiences feel fresh. He has not copied the film directly but chosen scenes from the original and reformed them in his own ideas and style. He brings some minor changes in the personalities of the lead characters. Harish Kalyan and Priya Bhavani Shankar tried their best in showing the originality in the remake. They made sure that the emotional scenes appear as affecting as the romantic and comic moments in the film. The cinematography by Krishnan Vasant makes the movie a lot more pleasing and engaging to watch.
