Oscar 2020: Netizens go gaga as Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio hug it out

Brad Pitt was the first winner of the 92nd Academy Awards for the movie “Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood.”

As he stood up from his seat to collect the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, he hugged co-star Leonardo DiCaprio that caught much attention of Twitter users around the world.

In the film, Brad and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio share a bromance to rival any other and it was only justified that Brad Pitt exchange a hug with Leonardo before the former went up to receive his Oscar.

Pitt received his Oscar from last year's Best Supporting Actress Regina King.

Brad Pitt won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood, for his performance as Cliff Booth, the stuntman.

Some Twitter users even said that there should indeed be a 'Best Hug' category at the Oscars: "Best hug goes to Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio". "Brad seems like a sweet man and his Leo hug confirms that in 2020 dudes rock," one fan tweeted, while other fans could only say, "Leo and Brad's hug... I'm dead."

Co-star Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor, losing to Joaquin Phoenix for Joker.

This year, Brad Pitt also took home a BAFTA (The British Academy of Film and Television Arts ) Award Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.

Brad Pitt's Best Supporting Actor Oscar marks his first Academy Award for acting in his 30-year career though he already has a Best Picture Oscar as the producer of “12 Years A Slave.”
