MUMBAI: A romance drama set in the 1970s in Europe, Radhe Shyam is an upcoming Indian period romance drama film starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
The movie is shot in Telugu and Hindi at the same time.
Prabhas, one of India's highest-paid actors, has been on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list three times since 2015, based on his earnings and popularity.
Pooja Hegde is also a recipient of SIMA Award, who worked mostly in Tamil and Hindi films.
Radha Krishna Kumar is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry.
Covid's uncertainties wreaked havoc on the film business once more. Due to the limitations in place, major films like as Radhe Shyam, RRR, Prithviraj, and others have had their release dates pushed back. Now that the cases are under control, release dates are being announced, and it's a complete disaster.
Originally scheduled to debut on January 14, the multilingual film was postponed owing to an increase of COVID-19 cases in the nation.
According to reports, Amazon Prime Video has offered Rs 350 crore for the exclusive rights to release the film on its platform. Not only that, but only a few days ago, it was rumoured that Netflix had made a Rs 300 crore offer to the Radhe Shyam producers.
Fans, though, need not be concerned because the producers want to release the picture in theatres first. They feel that such films ought to be shown in a theatre.
Prabhas and Pooja Hegde have set their movie date with the public on March 11, 2022, after several delays. It's been found that the RRR creators didn't want to take any chances, so they made sure to preserve a two-week break between two major releases. Both films will profit from such a chasm.
On 2 February, Prabhas and the makers of Radhe Shyam announced the release date with a special poster. Sharing the poster, Prabhas wrote, "11.03.22. I'll see you. #RadheShyamOnMarch11 (sic)."
"Witness the biggest war between love and destiny. 11.03.2022 worldwide in theatres (sic)," was written on the poster.
The creators are trying to ramp up the advertising effort now that the release date has been set.
