Rajinikanth's Annaatthe Released Online: Streaming in OTT Platform Netflix and Sun NXT

Tamil action film Annaatthe starring Rajinikanth is now available to watch online streaming on OTT Platform Netflix and Sun NXT. The film directed by ace filmmaker Siva and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun productions was earlier released in theatres on 4 November 2021.

Apart from Rajinikanth, another lead role in the film is played by Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh. After 20 days of theatrical release across the country Rajinikanth's Annaatthe has now come with the digital release in OTT (over the top).

After its release in cinemas, the film received many bad reviews though it ranked with good money in the box office collection. It was released in 1,100 theatres overseas and in the first opening week of the release itself Annaatthe ranked in Rupees 100 crore and within two weeks it has earned over 200 crores.

The film went well in the worldwide box office despite the critical reviews and the reason behind this is the huge start casts that include Soori, Khushbu, Jagapathi Babu and Meena. The way that the love between siblings is portrayed in the film led it to earn all those bad reviews and criticism.

The commercial Tamil hit film Annaatthe focuses mainly on the relationship between brother and his sister where the brother seems much protective about his sister. Rajinikanth in the film lives a peaceful life as Kaalaiyan in a village with his sister which gets disrupted when some goons enter into their life. Actress Nayanthara played the role of Kaalaiyan's sister.

Music by the music composer D Imman and lyrics by Viveka played a major role in the success of the film. Fans always have high expectations with movies starring such a superstar like Rajinikanth but this film is a disappointing one as even Rajinikanth fails to make the narrative engaging.
