Reel Movie Turned Real: Actors Faced Paranormal Experience

During the shooting of a horror comedy movie 'Stree', starred by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the actors faced a lot of strange experiences. For a night scene, the director Amar Kaushik picked up an abandoned area in Chanderi, which is a small town in Madhya Pradesh. Though the locals warned him earlier that the location that he picked was haunted and nobody passes through the street during night hours. Yet, due to the tight schedule, the team went ahead.

During the shooting, the director said to the actors Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, that he had faced lots of strange experiences. There were a lot of unidentified technical glitches from the focus puller not being able to focus throughout the night. The lights going off repeatedly to bulbs shattering. Kaushik further added that as he had to shoot a night scene, he was particularly worried. He went ahead with the shoot as the location was perfectly fits their requirements. But that particular night what he had faced were a lot of difficulties while shooting.

The movie “Stree” is presented by Dinesh Vijan and a Maddock Films production in association with D2r films and Jio Studios and this will be available in theatres from August 31.

The story is based on a true phenomenon as the teaser of Stree promises. These take you through a deserted lane, with the words "O stree, kal aana" written outside each house. In the end, the camera zooms out, and the silhouette of a woman with her feet hanging in the air can be seen.
