Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2011 Winner Azmat Hussain Back for auditions in Indian Idol

In 2011, Azmat Hussain won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs trophy in 2011 but he is back auditioning for Indian Idol almost eight years later. The young singer expected more but life didn’t turn out after he won the show.

On Sunday a promo clip from the singing reality show shared on Azmat arrive on stage to audition for the new season. Judge and singer Neha Kakkar recognizes him immediately and says she knows him from a reality show that he won years ago and he used to sing very well.

The other two judges – Vishal Dadlani and Anu Malik – asked him about why he was back to audition for another singing show. He said the financial situation at his home is not stable, so he decided to embrace his singing skills again. After winning he did a lot of shows. He was even earning money but still could not make ends meet. His voice started to change with age. People even said how bad is he singing? He went into depression and quit singing entirely.

In a special video, Azmat said, he didn’t sing for three consecutive years and did not even listen to songs in that time. He further added that he started keeping bad company, even got addicted to drugs. They wanted to ruin his life and put a full stop in his singing talent.

However, watching a co-contestant from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa-Sa-Salman Ali on Indian Idol last season, gave him a new hope that he could turn his life back around. The judges appreciated his decision that he opts for a singing career again. As per reports, Azmat told that he wanted to be a successful singer after winning his trophy in 2011. He also said he wants to be a singer but has to concentrate on his studies too.
