22 November 2021 marks the 73rd birth anniversary of legendary Indian dance choreographer Saroj Khan. The talented choreographer is still remembered for her outstanding skills of dancing skills which have led to the success of many Bollywood films. Saroj Khan throughout her career had choreographed 3000 songs of Hindu cinemas.

Saroj Khan was born on 22 November in the year 1948 in Mumbai, India and took her last breath on 3 July 2020 after confronting sudden cardiac arrest and died at the age of 71 in the Guru Nanak Hospital of Mumbai. She appeared to be the first woman choreographer from Bollywood with a career spanning more than 40 years. She has gained attention mainly for her skills in the dance form known as Murja.

The phenomenal choreographer is not just known for dancing but also won hearts with her fabulous expressions which filled extra grace in her dance moves. She was regarded as the expression queen by many for her attractive and eye-catching expressions while dancing.

Saroj Khan has directed and trained many popular Bollywood personalities such as Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and many others. Her choreography in teaching the actresses to shape their dance form and led the actress shine on screen. She is also regarded as the "Queen maker" of Bollywood for making the Bollywood Divas perform with grace.

Hit songs choreographed by Saroj Khan are:

• Kate Nahi Kat Te- This popular song showing Sri Devi in a blue Saree in the 1987 film Mr. India is still remembered. The Masterful choreography was visible in the dance performance as Saroj and Sridevi together always create magic.

• Ek Do Teen: A hit song from the 1998 movie Tezaab where Madhuri is seen dancing in the shapes learned from by Saroj Khan.

• Nimbooda Nimbooda: This song from the 1999 movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was a landmark dance song in the career of both Saroj and actress Aishwarya. The song shows the incredible choreography of Saroj Khan.

• Ye Ishq Haaye: For the choreography of this memorable song with Kareena Kapoor, Saroj Khan won the third National Award.
