Satish Kaushik is Foraying into Sri Lankan Cinema

Satish Kaushik (an Indian film director, producer, and actor) is preparing to release a Haryanvi Movie; named “Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se” and he is trying to foray into Sri Lankan Cinema.

He is the co-producer of the movie and it is mainly based on father-son’s relationship set against the backdrop of Sri Lankan Civil War that the country suffered from 1983 to 2009. Before releasing this film on cinema, Kaushik and his co-producer decided to take this story to International Film Festival. Kaushik said on this project that he is co-producing the film with Ganesh Jain, Ratan Jain and Karan Arora, and it is directed by N Padmakumar, whose last film was “A Billion Color Story” (2016).

It is a universal film and the Sri Lankan Civil War is just a backdrop for a father-son story in an era of violence and hatred, and the price one pays due to hatred. He had heard this story from Padma three years ago and was very impressed with its dramatic and emotional impact. A film about love and peace in today's turbulent times is a universal idea and is the need of the hour.
