Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh which also stars Kiara Advani is all one can talk about these days. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial which is the official remake of Telegu superhit Arjun Reddy will see Shahid Kapoor play the titular role and has fans excited. After the trailer dropped and all the songs after that, the buzz just went off the roof. That and Shahid Kapoor’s drastic transformation where he will be seen as a surgeon-turned- rebel lover.

While that is that, we are also digging the chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Kiara. In a recent interview with us, Shahid opened up about working with the diva and said, “I’m very impressed with Kiara. It’s difficult stepping into a film where, first of all, it’s a title role and the character is so strong and you’re playing the quieter part. It’s very difficult; I’ve played characters like that. But she came in with a really good attitude and she has become Preeti man! This is definitely the best performance of hers and a lot of credit for that goes to Sandeep. He is that kind of a director, he helps people and brings out their best.” Not just that, when quizzed about the kissing scenes and the reaction to the same, Shahid said, “The janta is over it. And so are the actors.”

The film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Kishan Kumar and Ashwini Varde. Earlier in an interview, Shahid had mentioned why he chose to do this film. “I usually don’t watch too many films in Telugu and it surprised me with its tonality, rawness, simplicity and the fact that it was so real and believable. The character is very fascinating for me as an actor because the emotional arc... is very original. I loved it and Vijay Deverakonda, who played Arjun, did it so well,” he had said. (IANS)
