New Delhi: Shooting for the upcoming film 'Badhaai Do' a comedy-drama starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar has begun on Tuesday.

The lead actress took to social media site Instagram and sharing moments from the first day of the shoot from Dehradun, Uttarakhand Bhumi wrote, "Shuru ho gai hai hamari kahani, Jahan hai dono Raja aur Rani, Shardul Aur Sumi hai ekdam pyaare, Yeh dono hai situation ke maare, Milenge hum aapse jald, Ho jayega tab sab clear aur tab hum kahengey, #BadhaaiDo #2021 @rajkummar_rao @jungleepictures #HarshwardhanKulkarni @amritapndy @sumadhikary

In the first picture both Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar can be seen holding the clapboard while in the second picture they are seen posing with their director Harshvardhan Kulkarni.

Meanwhile, Actor Rajkumar Rao also took to his Instagram handle to share the same.

Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar will be seen sharing screen space for the first time.

The movie 'Badhaai Do' directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni is a comedy-drama, a sequel to the National Award-winning hit film 'Badhaai Ho'.

The first film 'Badhaai Ho' starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, was directed by Amit Sharma which won two National Awards including the Best Popular Film Award Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Supporting Actress Award for Surkeha Sikri's performance. And the upcoming movie will see Rajkummar and Bhumi taking the franchise forward.

The movie will have a different storyline. While will be seen sharing screen space, Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a PT teacher. However, rest of the cast of the film has not been announced as of yet.

'Badhaai Do' is written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial, who had co-written 'Badhaai Ho'.
