Singer Sona Mohapatra is in no state of mind to make peace with Bharat co-star Salman Khan. On Saturday, she tweeted about his most recent film, Bharat's box office figures and was not really complimenting with her comments.
Tweeted a Box Office India report on Bharat's appearing on its second Friday, she wrote, “Q. What do you call filmi superstars that don’t even deliver a single, full week of returns in the public domain despite all the hype, promotions & posturing? A. Paper Tigers (P.S : Stop worshipping these paper tigers dear #India. Let’s find & BE more worthy ‘heros’).”
Salman's eager new film began off well when it released on Eid (June 5). Be that as it may, the film started to vacillate in its second week. Following 10 days, the film was attempting to enter the Rs 200 crore club. As per the report in Box Office India, Bharat had made Rs 3.75 crore on its second Friday. The report included that the film's collections had been helped by the absence of rivalry from different films.
This is not the first time Sona has targeted Salman Khan. Even since the film’s promotions began, Bharat has been pulled into a needless tilt. In one among his recent interviews for Bharat, Salman Khan had said “Priyanka Chopra has worked all her life, so hard, and when she got the biggest film of her life she dumped that film and got married. Hats off… Usually, individuals leave their husbands for a movie like this.”
Priyanka left the movie at the last moment as she was supposed to tie the knot with Nick Jonas at the same time.
Salman’s comments on Priyanka did not go well with singer Sona Mohapatra, who commented: “Priyanka has better things to do in life, real men to hold out with and a lot of importantly, girls to inspire along with her journey,” adding, “A showcase and poster child of toxic masculinity. Low brow digs at not only a woman who was not in the room but a disgusting disregard and contempt for the woman and colleague sitting next to him in the same room. Unless we call out such serial bad behavior, nothing changes.”
Soon, the superstar’s fans trolled Sona Mohapatra. Responding to the backlash, Sona said: “Trying telling that to his fans who shadow his toxicity and are calling her derogative names on my timeline. They meme her 10-year age gap along with her husband, however handily forget that their idol is close to 20 years older than her. Grow up, you fool, I advise them.”
