Sooryavanshi Posters Out - Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe To Have Akshay Kumar Take On Terror
There was a time when Akshay Kumar’s favourite colour in onscreen was khakhi, with a slew of cop dramas in his repertoire. Come back 2020 and Salman Khan’s favourite unharness date – the Eid vacation – can see Akshay back within the cop avatar in Sooryavanshi, this time for Golmaal Director Rohit Shetty.
On Tuesday, Akshay shared Sooryavanshi’s first look posters and wrote, “A bullet for a bullet! Get ready for #RohitShetty’s #Sooryavanshi on Eid 2020. Action-packed, masala intact!”
After Singham starring Ajay Devgn and Simmba with Ranveer Singh, the newest entrant in Rohit’s cop universe is Akshay’s Veer Sooryavanshi whose entry was excited within the climax of Simmba as the Anti-Terror Squad chief. Ajay’s Singham was seen discussing a case filed against Ranveer’s Simmba with him within the sequence.
Earlier, Rohit had tweeted that the pre-production on Sooryavanshi has begun. “Mission Sooryavanshi. En route Goa,” Rohit wrote alongside a picture, which showed him posing with his team in the jet bridge. Ranveer wrote in the comments section, “Oho hard company. Picture shuru.”
The three actors – Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh – have usually been noticed along and have spoken concerning the cop universe – a first of a form for Hindi movie industry. Whereas Singham could be a profitable franchise, Simmba has become one in all the largest hits of 2018 and created records for both Rohit and Ranveer.
Coincidentally, a film with the same title, Sooryavanshi, was released in 1992 and featured Salman Khan in the lead role. The fantasy horror film was produced by Vijay Galani.
Recently, filmmaker Indra Kumar has finally confirmed the third instalment within the hit comic franchise. The first Hera Pheri film that was released in 2000, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, went on to become one amongst the best comedy films ever made in Bollywood till now and still remembered for their performances and also the tongue-in-cheek dialogues that still continue to be popular among the moviegoers.
Talking concerning the next Hera Pheri, Indra Kumar told to the media in a report, “I’m happy that the favourite trio is coming back together. We tend to begin the film towards the end of this year. It’s currently being scripted. I was completely cut off from that project for the last three months because I was busy with Total Dhamaal.”
The film also will be high on special effects as the director Indra Kumar claimed that he’s enthusiastic about VFX after working on Total Dhamaal. “So, it’ll undoubtedly be bigger and better and involve heavy VFX. I’m expecting individuals to enjoy the film in the maximum amount,” he said. Indra just delivered the third film in the Dhamaal franchise, Total Dhamaal that has collected Rs 88 crore within six days. The film has received an amazing response at the box workplace and is on its way to enter the Rs 100 crore club.
According to the report, the film had gone on the floors a couple of years ago with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham as the main lead however was shelved due to lack of funds. The initial trio had featured once more within the sequel Phir Hera Pheri that released in 2006.
Akshay already has his hands full with five films lined up for release this year. He will be seen within the period war film Kesari, comedy film Housefull 4, the multi-starrer Mission Mangal, Good News with Kareena Kapoor and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi Suniel will be sharing screen space with Mohanlal in Malayalam film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. Hera Pheri 3 is expected to release next year.
