Guwahati: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) while investigating the case related to embezzlement of Rs 15 crore from Sushant Singh Rajput's accounts has found that the late actor was paying instalments for a flat worth Rs 4.5 core located in Malad, Mumbai.

Sources in the agency said that the flat for which the instalments were being paid is supposedly the one where the Sushant's former girlfriend, actress Ankita Lokhande, is living. The two dated for six years before parting ways in 2016.

According to the agency sources, Rhea Chakraborty, has also revealed about the flat during the questioning and said that Sushant couldn't ask Ankita to leave the property even though he was paying instalments for it.

It is not known how much was paid when the flat was bought a few years ago, but some sources informed the media that only the last few instalments are pending. It has also come to light that the EMIs were being deducted every month from one of Sushant's accounts.

Ankita Lokhande has been very supportive of the demand for a CBI probe in on Sushant Singh Rajput's death, and shared a video on her social media asking for the same.

ED officials are now verifying each and every possible investment and transaction to investigate the case against Rhea Chakraborty. The agency also questioned the actress's family members and two of Sushant's staffers.

Sources said that the agency could call for the property details to verify the investment and registration details of the flat.

In an earlier interview, Ankita said that Sushant wasn't a money-minded person. She also questioned Rhea Chakraborty for leaving Sushant alone at his place on June 8. The actor reportedly took his own life on June 14.
