Blue Sattai Maran's Anti-Indian – A political Satire

Baasha's death opens the film; his father is a Muslim, but his mother was born a Hindu and eventually converted to Christianity. Baasha's relatives wish to bury him according to Islamic tradition, but local Muslims insist he never practised Islam

. Since its premiere, the film received reviews from prominent directors like Bharathiraja, Bhagyaraj, and Seeman has received a mixed reception from moviegoers, with many expressing displeasure with the storyline.

A Hindu political party wants to bury him, but administrators at the cemetery say Baasha is not a Hindu and hence cannot be buried. When Christians prepare to bury him, representatives of the Hindu and Muslim faiths oppose their decision. Meanwhile, the ruling party is anticipating a major announcement from a Hollywood star and is planning to annul the by-election by inciting a religious riot in the wake of Baasha's death.

At the same time, we observe how the Chief Minister (Radha Ravi) and the police department are preparing for a by-election that they are almost certain to lose. While the opposition currently has the upper hand, superstar actor 'Kabali' has the ability to tip the balance. As a result, the CM and the police must devise a strategy to either win or halt the election. Because they discuss dark plans with a matter-of-fact tone, the sequences involving the CM and the police officers create a sense of dread. As the matter of Basha's body receives some public attention, these powerful guys decide to take advantage of it.

Tamil film has been increasingly flirting with the themes of political conspiracy and police brutality since the big Jallikattu protest in 2017. However, the majority of the films do so with prudence. Even the recent smash Maanaadu, which follows a similar path, focused on amusement rather than confrontation. This is where Anti-Indian stands out from the crowd. This film isn't afraid to say it like it is. It's on your face all the time.

On his head, Ezhumalai wears a saffron tilak. Raja is the name of his party's leader. It does not, however, take sides. It uses the same brush to paint Hindus, Muslims, and Christians, the media, the police, and everyone else in the film. In some ways, this became a source of concern because the director's voice is rarely heard in the films, despite the fact that it is always voicing comments. Perhaps the voice of the filmmaker is the unidentified, black-clad character (Ghilli Maran).

Maran is known for his bold and impolite views on films, directors, and performers as a YouTuber. As a filmmaker, he now goes after men in positions of religion, politics, and power with the same zeal. he also posted on twitter about audience reaction to his film 

Regardless of whether or not one agrees with the film's tone and philosophy, Anti-Indian is a significant film that establishes a new standard for freedom of speech in Tamil cinema.
