Tumbbad Extremely Well-Crafted Film: Shah Rukh Khan

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has praised producer Sohum Shah’s dark fantasy Tumbbad and called it an “extremely well-crafted film”. Shah Rukh, who saw the trailer for the film, tweeted on Tuesday night: “Saw bits of this extremely well-crafted film. A genre we normally don’t push boundaries in. Wishing my friends the best with this venture and hope you all watch it and enjoy it. ‘Tumbbad’ the trailer.” Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad, Tumbbad tells the tale of 19th-century India, where a scheming man becomes obsessed with finding the mythical treasure of his ancestors.

Tumbbad premiered in the Critics’ Week section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, becoming the first Indian film to be screened there. The film is an Eros International and Aanand L Rai’s presentation and a Little Town Films production in association with Colour a Yellow Productions. Tumbbad is set to release on October 12.

Whereas, Shah Rukh Khan is all set for Zero (2018), which is an upcoming Bollywood romantic-comedy-drama film directed by Anand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, and Katrina in the lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan played a Dwarf role in this film. Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Alia Bhatt, Sridevi, Karisma Kapoor, and Juhi Chawla has a guest appearance in the film. The film is produced by Anand L. Rai and Shah Rukh Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions banner.

The Next project of SRK will be Salute (2019) is an Indian Biographical film. This film is based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel to space. After Zero (2018), Shah Rukh Khan is all set to start this film. Bhumi Pednekar and Kareena Kapoor both or one of them will be seen playing the leading lady role opposite SRK.
