Vikram Gokhale Supports Kangana Ranaut on her 'Bheek' Comment About India's freedom in 1947

Indian Marathi actor Vikram Gokhale on Sunday 14 November gave a statement supporting Kangana Ranaut on her comment about India's freedom in 1947 as 'Bheek.'

Kangana has been hitting headlines for the last few days for her statement where she stated that India got real independence with BJP led government in 2014 and what India got in 1947 is a 'Bheek' which means alms according to her. After facing numerous controversies on this comment now the actress is getting support from actor Vikram Gokhale.

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale gave his statement at an event held in Maharashtra agreeing with Kangana Ranaut as he says "I agree with Ranaut's statement. We were given freedom. Many people were just mute spectators when freedom fighters were hanged (during the British Raj). These mute spectators included many senior leaders. They didn't save the freedom fighters who were fighting against the British."

According to Gokhale during the rule of the British when freedom fighters were hanged many people were eyewitnesses just watching the show and those were many senior leaders who didn't save the freedom fighter who fought against the British. The actor further says that all the political parties including BJP always try to extract their own benefits from controversies like this.

Gokhale also discussed the prevailing political situations in the country and in Maharashtra including the communal violence in Tripura. According to Gokhale Shiv Sena and BJP should come together for the betterment of India.

Kangana Ranaut has been facing much criticism from all over the country since her remark on India's freedom in 1947 as a 'bheek.' Recently musician Vishal Dadlani has criticized her by posting a selfie wearing a T-Shirt which portrays freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and with the post he wrote of reminding the lady who commented that the independence of India is a 'bheek'.
