Xhoixobote Dhemalite Bags 8 LIFF Nominations, Dipannita Sharma Nominated Best Actress

Assamese film 'Xhoixobote Dhemalite' has been nominated at Love International Film Festival and bagged 8 nominations while Actress Dipannita Sharma is nominated for Best Actress. Other nominations included Best Actor (Nakul Vaid), Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (Victor Banerjee), Best Cinematography (Satya Prakash Rath) and Best Score (Anurag Saikia) at LIFF 2018.

As it will be also Dipannita's international red carpet debut, she told that she will be wearing a Mekhela Sador which will represent her culture, state and the country on a global platform.

"I'm glad at being nominated for the Best Actress. This is my first nomination for best actress after winning in the Best Supporting Actress category. What makes this movie so special that it happens to be at an International film festival for my first feature film which is also in my native language, Assamese," she said in a statement to the media.

'Xhoixobote Dhemalite' is produced by Mumbai-based production house India Stories and is co-produced by Kotoky's Dhruv Creative Productions and Kurmasana Kreates, which is a production house based in the United States.

'Xhoixobote Dhemalite' basically depicts the real-life story of the director Bidyut Kotoky. It is based on the psychological trauma that the children in Assam went through during the massive agitations back in the 1980s.
