1 killed, 7 injured in accident at Bhootnath in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A person was killed and seven others were injured after a pick-up truck carrying chicken collided with a Dead Body Carrier, at Bhootnath in Guwahati on Saturday night.

The Bolero pick-up van bearing registration number – AS01FC1294 was travelling from Maligaon side to Bharalu. The deceased Tajmul Islam was among the three people who were travelling in the pick-up van. The other two, Hamidul Islam and Abu Bakr Siddique sustained injuries. The driver of the Dead Body Carrier bearing registration number – AS01DD6710, Supan Das was also injured. During the clash four pedestrians also sustained injuries. They are Deepak Jaiswal, Rajesh Rajbhor, Manish Ram and Mukesh Thakur.
