100 Percent Increase In NF Railway Train Punctuality

GUWAHATI: Ministry of Railways has reviewed punctuality of trains running over all the zones of Indian Railways where the NF Railway has achieved hundred percent punctuality on Sunday.

The train punctuality parameter of NF Railway on Sunday reached to hundred percent, the highest amongst all the 17 zones in Indian Railways. NFR also fared best in train punctuality for the period from September 1 to 8 in Indian Railways by running 95.9 percent trains on time. NFR has achieved the improvement of punctuality as a result of sustained effort of all of its divisions. NFR officials are trying to monitor the punctuality aspect of all the trains to provide passengers the best possible train services.

It is to mention here that many long distance trains originated from Agartala, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Naharlagun Railway stations bound to the various parts of India. NF Railway has closely monitored running punctuality of all the trains in Division as well as in Headquarter level.

Moreover, all the divisions under NFR keep close vigil on trains coming delayed from other zones and all efforts are made to ensure that the trains arriving late do not loose punctuality further in NFR. Reasons for all the delays / late running of trains have been critically analyzed for taking remedial measures, a press release stated.
