13 Eminent Women Felicitated By North East-Institute of Advanced Studies

GUWAHATI: North East-Institute of Advanced Studies celebrated International Women’s Day by felicitating 13 eminent women personalities of the state for the outstanding contribution in their respective fields at its campus. Keshab Charan Das, founder- director of NE-IAS, felicitated them with a memento and a saleng chador. While felicitating he said that the women are already empowered and emphasized more on self-dependency and women ingredient traits to achieve the success by overcoming the biggest barriers.

The Director of NE-IAS Sankar Ray has also elaborated on the theme ‘Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change’. The eminent women personalities were Violet Baruah ( IPS), Moloya Goswami, Dr. Biju Dutta, Prof. Shiela Bora, Ajanta Hazarika, Krishna Hazarika Rao, Chayamoni Saikia, Prarthana Hazarika, Jahnabi Phookan, Barsha Phukan, Dr.Malabika Talukdar, Dr.Ruma Talukdar, Waheeda Rahman and all the present dignified ladies shared their journey of life in the event. Earlier in the day all the women executives and faculties of the organization engaged in the battle field of development to make the youth of Northeast empowered were also felicitated.
