13 personnel chosen for Independence Day parade test COVID-19 positive

GUWAHATI: Thirteen personnel of Assam Police and paramilitary forces who have been rehearsing for the Independence Day parade at Judges' Field here have tested corona positive.

Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu, who inspected the parade ground on Thursday, said, "The Independence Day is going to be celebrated with bare minimum presence of people amidst strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol. With 13 personnel testing COVID-19 positive, the antigen test of all other personnel rehearsing for the I-Day parade have been conducted. All of them have tested negative."
