16-year-old sexually assaulted in Guwahati, FIR lodged

GUWAHATI: A rape incident came to light where a tantric allegedly sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in West Boragaon under Garchuk Police Station.

According to a police source, Ramen Boro, Bhaben Boro, and Tutumoni Das, along with the tantric, went to the victim's place for Manasha puja rituals. After completion of the rituals, due to heavy rainfall, all four stayed at the victim's place. At night, when all were fast asleep, the tantric used tactics that gave the parents as well as the victim some fluid where they became subconscious. Then the tantric assaulted the victim in her subconscious state of mind.

The incident took place on August 2, but the victim made it light on Saturday. The main accused is still on the run, even though family members have lodged an FIR. According to sources, the accused is from Dhubri and is known as Fakir, as his real identity is still unknown.
