165 Road Traffic Accidents on December 31 Across Assam

GUWAHATI: Mrityunjoy 108 extended its services to 165 road traffic accident cases on December 31, 2019 all over the State. Kamrup topped the list with as many as 20 such cases. It is followed by Kamrup (M) with 17 cases, Golaghat with 12 cases, etc. People, mostly youth, meeting with accidents on December 31 is a regular phenomenon in the State. Sources say that such accidents often occur because of rash driving and drunk driving. Can Assam do away with such unwanted accidents?
