2 arrested with gold bars by Government Railway Police

GUWAHATI: GRP (Government Railway Police) personnel arrested two persons – Md Yusuf Nisar (45) and Md Noor Ismail (52), both hailing from Surat in Gujarat – with two gold bars weighing 332 grams from Kamakhya Railway Station at Maligaon in Guwahati on Saturday night. The seized gold is worth Rs 11 lakh. The two brought the consignment from Manipur by air and were trying leave for Gujarat by the Karmobhoomi Express. The gold was concealed under the belt. They have been handed over to Customs.
