2 drug peddlers held with heroin in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: Acting on specific input, a team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD and Noonmati police on Sunday arrested two drug peddlers, identified as Ashok Kumar Das and Md Mausam Ali of Mathgharia, and recovered 1.42 gm of heroin, seven vials, two mobile phones and Rs 5,000 in cash from their possession at the former's house. Legal action has been initiated, police sources said.
