2 Guwahati police personnel rejoin duty after recovering from coronavirus

608 Assam police personnel have been tested positive for Covid-19 out of which 272 personnel have recovered

Guwahati: Two police personnel of the Police Commissionerate in Guwahati have returned to their duties after finally recovering from the dreaded coronavirus.

The two Guwahati Police personnel who have recovered are ASI Moniram Kalita of Jalukbari Police Station and UBC Lakhi Nandan Boro of Bharalumukh Police Station and they were feted upon return to their respective stations.

"COVID Warriors of Police Commissionerate Guwahati ASI Moniram Kalita of Jalukbari PS and UBC Lakhi Nandan Boro of Bharalumukh PS have recovered fully from COVID-19 and joined their duties. They were extended a warm welcome", read a message sent out from the official handle of the Guwahati Police.

Notably, 608 Assam police personnel have been tested positive for Covid-19 out of which 272 personnel have recovered. In view of the alarming situation, the Assam Government has appointed senior officers in all Government offices to ensure the safety of employees.
