2018 Athgaon Murder Case Accused Arrested from Bihar, Brought to Guwahati
According to reports, the accused Aditya Singh (aka Niraj Singh) was nabbed by police in Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Thursday

GUWAHATI: The prime accused in a 2018 Guwahati-related murder case was arrested by police from Bihar's Muzaffarpur area on Thursday. He was brought to Guwahati on Friday.
A businessman Tribhuban Gupta was seriously injured after he was shot from a close distance at Athgaon, Guwahati in 2018. Later, he succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in which he was admitted following the incident.
According to reports, the accused Aditya Singh (aka Niraj Singh) was nabbed by police in Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Thursday evening. A team of cops from Guwahati communicated with Bihar police and went to Muzaffarpur to bring Aditya Singh to Guwahati.
A case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Aditya by the police.
Initial investigations had suggested the shootout was possibly a result of a personal grudge or rivalry due to various reasons. As per the police, someone close to Gupta orchestrated the crime through a hired shooter, initial investigations said.
