25 Vehicles Seized for Collecting Excess Fare in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (metro) district administration conducted a drive against public passenger vehicles on Wednesday in Guwahati for allegedly collecting excess fare from passengers.

Meanwhile, a total of 25 vehicles were seized and 47 nos of offence cases have been registered at Ganeshguri.

Taking to Twitter, the official account of Kamrup (metro) district administration wrote, "As per order by Kamrup Metro District Administration, an enforcement drive against public passenger vehicles (City Bus & Magic) was conducted today at Ganeshguri for alleged collection of excess fare. 25 vehicles were seized and 47 nos of cases were registered during this drive."

Earlier, the Kamrup (metro) district administration conducted a drive against public passenger vehicles on Tuesday in Guwahati for allegedly collecting excess fare from passengers.

The drive was conducted in various places of the city like Lokhra Road and Lal Ganesh. During the drive, 41 vehicles were seized and 67 cases were registered.
