286 road accidents in Assam despite nationwide lockdown

GUWAHATI: Despite the nationwide lockdown, a total of 286 road traffic accidents have taken place in Assam from March 24 to April 3. This figure was issued by Mrityunjoy 108 Emergency Response Services. Out of the 286 accidents, three turned out to be fatal; one each in Dispur, Azara and Jalukbari PS area. While Kamrup (Rural) witnessed the highest number of accidents with 27, Chirang and Jorhat had the least accidents with 4 each. 11 accidents have occurred in Kamrup (Metro).
