3 Nigerians held with fake passports at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport

GUWAHATI: Three Nigerians, Obidimma Chioma Promise, Ozoaka Bejamin Ogadimma and Mbam Sunday, were detained by CISF at LGBI Airport on Friday. The trio, who arrived in India on 2014 with fake passports, was suspected of carrying out illegal operations.

CISF Assistant Commandant Kuwar Abhishek Singh got word of the Nigerians visiting the city and lodged a complaint at Azara police station. They were trying to make their way out of Guwahati via Kolkatta to Mumbai. A case (153/19 U/S 468/471/120 (B) / 419 IPC, R/W Section 14 of Foreigner’s Act 1946, 12 (1A) (b) Passport Act 1967) has been registered against them.
