33rd Bn, ITBP Pays Homage to Martyr Late Constable Vibhuti Ray

GUWAHATI: 33rd Bn, ITBP, paid an emotional tribute to ITBP Martyr late Constable Vibhuti Ray at his home town Charaikhola, Golakganj Assam on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day 2019 on Monday.

On this occasion, Rajender Singh Chandel, Commandant, 33rd Bn, ITBP sent a team of officers to the home town of Martyr late Constable Vibhuti Ray under the leadership of Ravi Kumar Yadav, Assistant Commandant. Officials of 33rd Bn ITBP met with family members of the martyr and presented a gift on behalf of the unit and inquired about his health and entitled benefits received from ITBP. Apart from ITBP official, official of local administration, principal, students of the school where Ray studied, family members of the martyr and other villagers participated in the ceremony. Yadav laid wreath on the photo of the martyr and paid emotional tribute. As per a press release, Police Commemoration Day 2019 was also observed in the 33rd BN, HQ, Guwahati in which all the officer, subordinate officer and other ranks paid tribute to martyrs and observed two minute silence. Sudesh Kumar Rana, 2IC/Officer Commanding read out the names of 292 martyrs of various police forces who laid down their life during the year and paid them homage.
