4 arrested for mobile-phone theft in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) team from the Paltanbazaar Police Station arrested two thieves, Rohit Ali and Hira Basfor, from the Nepali Mandir area for mobile-phone snatching. Further investigation led to arrests of two more miscreants, Nitu Das and Simanta Rabha, for dealing in stolen mobiles. According to police sources, 20 mobile phones and Rs 31,200 in cash were recovered from them.
