4,949 arrested for lockdown violation in Assam since March

GUWAHATI: Since March 25 to 4 pm on Monday 4,949 people have been arrested, 3,82,307 vehicles seized, 3,937 cases registered and Rs 4,95,31,650 charged as fines for violation of lockdown rules in the State.

The seized vehicles include 33,650 two-wheelers, 803 three-wheelers, 3,712 four-wheelers, 85 six-wheelers, four buses, 33 trucks, 1 trailer, 15 tractors, three JCB excavators, and 1 Pokland.
