50 kg Ganja (Cannabis) seized by GRP at Railway Station in Guwahati

Guwahati: A team of Government Railway Police (GRP) seized at least 50 kgs of Cannabis (Ganja) from down Rajdhani Express train (12423) from Coach Number A1, berth number 1/3 on Tuesday morning.

The GRP had arrested two persons in connection with the case. The accused person identified as Chitranjan Gupta (55) and Madhu Gupta (40).

As per a report both the accused had boarded the train from Dimapur and were heading towards New Delhi.

It may also be mentioned that Chitranjan Gupta is a resident of 215 G Block, Mangolpuri under North West Delhi district and Madhu Gupta wife of late Amit Gupta is a resident of U 98 Mangolpuri North Block, Saraswati Bihar under West Delhi district.

Police sources from GRP also confirmed that both accused are business partners and have no blood relation.

A case is being registered and further investigations are on.
