600 litres of illicit liquor seized near Kamakhya gate in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Around 600 litres of illicit liquor were seized by the sleuths of the Excise Department near the Kamakhya gate in the city on Saturday night. The liquor was seized from a car (AS01BE5529) which was coming from Rangia.

Four persons, including three women and the driver of the car, were arrested. On Sunday, they were produced before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) and were remanded to judicial custody.
